About

Made by a dad, tested at the kitchen table

Scrapling Studio started with a paper puppy. I wanted a calm, step-by-step craft my daughter could do with me, so I made one. She glued, counted, and told me exactly what to fix: hide the numbers, let her pick the colors, make the cutting easier.

Every kit since has gone through the same test. If it isn't calm, clear and fun at our table, it doesn't go in the shop.

Meet the friends

Two friends, two ways to try new things

One jumps right in. One likes to look first. Snip helps the Tricky Eye try new things at its own pace, and the Tricky Eye helps Snip slow down and notice. Both ways are good ones, and they're better together.

Snip

The one who jumps right in

Snip is made from one torn scrap and a lot of enthusiasm. Our guide and the Tricky Eye's best friend, Snip loves starting new things, says hi first, and believes every wobbly edge still counts.

The Tricky Eye

The one who notices everything

The Tricky Eye likes to look before jumping in. It spots the tiny details everyone else misses, likes to know what's coming next, and joins the fun when it's ready.

Where the Tricky Eye came from

Our first character wasn't drawn by us

After testing our very first paper puppy, my daughter picked up the leftovers: a slip of scrap paper, a small lump of clay and a googly eye. A few minutes later she had made a friend, and she named it the Tricky Eye, all on her own.

That little creature is the reason our characters are made from scraps, and why every kit ends with a scraps challenge: glue the leftovers into something new.

Snip came next. I made Snip to be the Tricky Eye's best friend and our guide, the one who shows you each step and cheers you on. If I'm honest, Snip is a little bit me.

Why "Scrapling"?

Our characters are made from paper scraps, and so are the crafts. Kids are Scraplings too: every one is put together a little differently, and every one is great.

Every kit, every way

Kids don't come in levels, so our kits don't either. Every kit comes with every way to make it: cut, easy-cut or tear. Stories will come with picture-only, key-word and full editions. You pick what fits your kid today, and one price covers all of it.

We design with neurodivergent kids in mind: autistic, ADHD and sensory-sensitive kids, and every kid who likes calm. That means one step at a time, the same numbering every time, low clutter and built-in stopping spots.

Our promises

  • We never collect photos of children. Custom stories are drawn from a description you write.
  • We never sort kids by labels or levels. We ask what your kid does today, nothing more.
  • Our products are activities, not therapy. They're made to support the people who know your kid best.
